Horror movies and sinus infections.......

Here's my day so far.  Through the help of pictures.

Started off tired as could be.  Kohl has decided that it's funny as hell to wake me up 10 times a night just to say he loves me or that he has to go to the bathroom.  Or that his covers are no longer "covering" him up and he needs them adjusted.  I repeatedly tell myself that I love him and it's just a phase.

I also feel like this lady because somehow I hurt my arch/foot/who the hell knows on my run Sunday.  I can't put any pressure on the outside of my foot and am walking around like a complete idiot.  Just when I think it's feeling better I step down wrong and almost piss myself.  Seriously.  So, I'm taking a few days off from running.  Now is when I wish I still had my exercise bike.

Knight woke up feeling like shit so I took him in to the clinic this morning.  Oh how I love driving the 60 miles there.  One way.  As I suspected, cause I'm not a doctor and have no idea what I'm talking about, he has another sinus infection.  They are never ending.   Kohl decided he should just go with us.  MISTAKE.  Again, I hope his obnoxiousness is just a phase.  I'm starting to doubt that though.

I'm sure the doctor loved the fact that I let my kids watch gruesome movies as they so nicely explained to her.  In detail.  Right down to the falling on the ground and BOTH legs were broke and the bones were sticking out.  And then he got eaten by wolves.  Lovely.  I'm expecting that call from social services any minute now.  Even though it's all Wade's fault cause that's what they watched on Sunday while I was running.  :)

This afternoon I get to go to bball practice and try and act like I've been having the most shitty wonderful day EVER!  And then come home and try and come up with an alternate exercise plan for the next few days that doesn't involve putting pressure on my foot while still getting some cardio in.  Any ideas???!!!

And the award goes toooo................

ME!!! I did it. I finally feel like maybe I could win that Mother Of The Year award.  You know, the one I have failed miserably at for 8 years so far.  I'm really feeling like the last 2 days have earned me that title.  I'm sure I'll do something to f%@& that up soon enough, but for now I'm celebrating my ass off.  I painted Knight's room like I promised him and I do have to say.  It's freakin awesome.  I really love it so much I contemplated painting the whole damn thing camo.  I mean really.  What else do I have to do with my days.  Right??  Wrong!!  It's pretty bad ass though.  If Knight doesn't like it then I'm going to sleep here.  :)  I love it.  I got the tank for the wall.  Thought it was going to be bigger but it works.  The helicopter for his ceiling should be here soon!  I had a ton of fun doing this project.  And if he doesn't like it, I'm selling him.  :) ...

Whoooop Whooop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........

Today marks a great day in 2011!!!  College football bowl games start!  I LOVE college football.  I LOVE the Huskers!!!!!!!  But I also love watching random teams that I know nothing about.  Doesn't matter where they are from or what their story is.  I just love watching football.  So, from now until the first week in January, I can pretty much watch football any given day!  It's awesome!!! Last year we went to every home Husker game.  Love it there.  The atmosphere is great, walking amongst the drunken tailgaters is hilarious, and the general excitement in the stadium is electrifying.  We've taken the kids to 2 games so far.  I'm not going to lie.  It's exhausting.  First, it's quite a walk to the stadium.  So, as you can imagine, eventually the 5 year old wants someone to carry him.  He's not a small kid.  In fact, he weighs as much as the 7 year old.  He's solid as a brick shit house and com...

Remembering..........

Today's blog is gonna be a little different.  Cause today would have been DaNelle's 34th birthday.  Here's a pic of DaNelle, myself, and both my sisters. (Obviously when we were in high school.)  We grew up with her, were college roommates, and the greatest of friends.  3 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  A year later, she passed away.  While the special dates still make me sad, and I'll never understand why someone so great was taken so early in life, I now find myself thinking about the great memories made with her.  In no particular order, here are a few things I will never forget. Swimming in the tank out at her grandma's house with the goldfish, then hanging out in the basement sneaking whiskey.  :) Her infectious smile and laugh.   Her stories!!  She called me every morning around 10:00 and we'd talk till the guys came in for lunch at noon.  I miss those phone calls! Playing foosball at the high ...
